Job Description

We are looking for a hands-on, heavy-hitting Salesforce Technical Lead to anchor our engineering delivery team. This is a highly technical, code-heavy leadership role centered around two major privileges: driving engineering excellence through writing and reviewing code, and actively helping our current developers grow and upskill.

You will balance deep engineering execution with team capabilities—actively writing scalable code, building frameworks, and overseeing deployments while mentoring a squad of developers to enforce impeccable engineering standards. In this role, you will act as the ultimate technical authority for your tracks, ensuring application performance, optimization against governor limits, robust system integrations, and clean CI/CD release management across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud enterprise environments.

To be considered for this position, individuals must:

  • Have 8–12 years of hands-on experience in the tech industry, with a strong focus on the Salesforce ecosystem, including at least the last 5 years entirely dedicated to advanced SFDC development executing end-to-end project lifecycles.
  • Demonstrate proven experience managing core technical teams of 4-6 people and driving code-review processes.
  • Be highly proficient in writing and Solutioning for complex code (Apex, LWC) daily.
  • Be able to Understand a Requirement, solution and break down task to allocate to the Team.
  • We operate on a hybrid model. While we offer flexibility, candidates must be willing to relocate if a specific project demands it.
  • Be ready to join immediately.

Key Responsibilities

1. Write and Review Codes (Engineering Excellence)

  • Hands-on Core Development: Actively write and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable custom code using Apex (Triggers, Async Apex, Batch, Queueable), Lightning Web Components (LWC), and JavaScript on a daily basis.
  • Work break down structure: Basis a requirement, have the ability to break down the work and allocate to team members for ensuring that timely delivery is completed for the Project.
  • Rigorous Code Reviews: Conduct mandatory, thorough code reviews. Enforce coding standards, secure patterns (CRUD/FLS enforcement, sharing rules), and optimum platform performance. Ensure the team maintains a minimum of 85%+ meaningful Apex test coverage.
  • Framework Architecture for one project: Build and maintain lightweight, reusable technical frameworks, base utility classes, and optimized pattern-based architectures to streamline development cycles and minimize technical debt for the broader team.
  • Platform Optimization & Escalation: Proactively audit sandbox and production environments to handle Large Data Volumes (LDV) and ensure strict adherence to Salesforce governor limits. Serve as the ultimate point of escalation for troubleshooting complex run-time exceptions or integration failures.

2. Help Current Developers Grow and Upskill (Talent Mentorship)

  • Project Delivery & Scale: Successfully lead 1-2 end-to-end projects within the Salesforce ecosystem, taking absolute ownership of delivery health, architecture, and deployment risks.
  • Team Mentorship & Coaching: Act as the technical anchor for the team; provide hands-on guidance, pair-program on complex technical blockers, and help junior and mid-level developers grow into independent problem solvers.
  • Upskilling Initiatives: Design and drive internal upskilling programs, technical walkthroughs, and workshops to keep the engineering team abreast of modern Salesforce seasonal releases, deprecations, and emerging platform features.
  • Task Translation & Estimation: Partner with business analysts and functional teams to translate abstract business scope into concrete technical requirements and clear sprint tasks, helping developers understand design trade-offs and estimating effort accurately.

3. Integration & DevOps Execution

  • System Integration: Design and build secure, real-time, and batch-based integrations connecting Salesforce to external enterprise applications using REST/SOAP APIs, Web Services, and platform events. Should have worked on custom Integrations.
  • DevOps Pipeline Management: Follow and optimize the team’s DevOps framework, managing repository branching strategies, sandbox environments, and CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub, Copado, Gearset, or Salesforce CLI to ensure clean metadata deployments.

Technical Skills & Education

  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with a strong preference for candidates from a Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering background.
  • Core Salesforce Mastery: 8-12 years of total Salesforce development experience, with a solid track record of leading complex integrations (“Know Tech”), managing technical stacks, and a minimum of 3–5 years of deep programmatic experience on the Force.com platform in a structured Technical Lead capacity.
  • Advanced Code & Config Depth: Expert-level mastery in Apex programming, LWC development, browser technologies (JavaScript/HTML/CSS), and native Salesforce APIs alongside core Sales & Service Cloud configurations.
  • Security & System Architecture: Strong hands-on understanding of enterprise system landscapes, including relational data modeling (ERDs), data migrations, complex sharing/visibility structures, and application security.

Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Strong foundational background in standard software engineering principles (OOP design patterns) outside of Salesforce (e.g., prior Java, .NET, or database engineering experience).
  • Active involvement in the tech community (e.g., contributing open-source components, technical blogging, or speaking at developer meetups/Dreamin’ events).

Other Attributes

  • Self-motivated technical anchor with the drive to take absolute ownership of a project’s codebase and delivery health.
  • Strong technical communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex code logic, architectural trade-offs, and deployment risks to both technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • A natural Analytical thinker / problem solver who loves digging into complex technical challenges alongside their team.

Required Certifications

  • Mandatory
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II (PD2)
    • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I (PD1)
  • Highly Preferred / Added Advantage:
    • Salesforce Certified JavaScript Developer I, Salesforce Certified Integration Architect, Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Architect (Candidates holding a full Application Architect or System Architect credential will be highly prioritized).

What We Offer

  • Enterprise Salesforce projects with direct client & leadership exposure.
  • Faster career growth and greater ownership in a growing organization.
  • A collaborative and flexible work culture with opportunities to work on AI-led initiatives.
